The production of solid particulate aerosols from suspensions (such as using biologics, as well as NaCl and KCl) is essential for many applications in research, development, and quality assurance. NaCl/KCl aerosols generated from biological agents are specified as test aerosols in various standards to ensure compatibility of filter media, measuring equipment, and filters. To be worthy of being called a test aerosol, it must continuously produce a consistent particle size distribution and concentration during the testing period. In addition, it must be possible to reproduce particle size distribution and concentration. A specially developed nozzle ensures that these requirements are met by preventing salt crystals from crystallizing at the nozzle outlet. Therefore, depending on the concentration of the solution, the particle size spectrum can be repeatedly adjusted within the range of approximately 5 nm-15 µ m. AGK 2000 can provide straight or curved drying columns and can choose to withstand pressures up to 10 bar.

function

For the diffusion of liquids, suspensions, and solutions, dual substance nozzles are mostly used. For the diffusion of salt solutions, conventional atomization methods, such as Palas, are also used®The Collison Nebulizer produced is not particularly suitable because salt crystals will precipitate at the nozzle outlet, causing partial obstruction to the nozzle system.
